Fox News & the Irish Americans behind it, are an inconvenient truth to the liberal dominated media

Hannity & O'Reilly
Since television was first introduced to the US, it was immediately seized upon and dominated by three networks, ABC, CBS and NBC.  Television news commentators were invited into every home in America. We knew them as Cronkhite, Rather, Mudd, Couric, Brokaw and dozens of others, all dutifully reading their scripts on our screens. Telling us "all the news we needed to know."

They dominated the information we received, especially when teamed up with the New York Times and CNN.

But then a great entrepreneur by the name of Murdock noticed the unholy alliance that had gripped control of America’s information media and decided to throw a bombshell into the middle of it. He introduced Fox News to America.

Although not a broadcast channel with the audience that the 3 entrenched networks had, Fox News propelled itself into huge popularity on cable television.  Many say it spearheaded the popularity of cable television.

All of a sudden viewers, many of whom thought they were being read propaganda by the broadcast channels, were able to hear another side of the story.  The popularity of Fox News grew like wildfire as people flocked to hear the other side of the story, or as Fox likes to say “Fair and Balanced” coverage of the information.

Names with an Irish twist to them like Hannity, O’Reilly, Kelly, Guilfoyle, Crowley & Buchanan give Fox a crew of talented, fearless, journalists,  who don’t back down from a fight.  In fact they live for the political brawls and relish challenging the status quo.

The addition of Fox & internet news sites to the information medium  has caused a revolution in the way news is received and now questioned by the public.  CBS news anchor Dan Rather found this out the hard way when he was caught trying to take down George Bush with a false hit piece just prior to the 2008 presidential election.  As a result Rather lost his job,  CBS suffered a huge black eye and loss of its credibility.

The exposure of Dan Rather’s attempt to sway the Presidential election with false and misleading information has shown how vulnerable the public has been for years of having 3 major news networks all with a liberal bias.   The Fox presence, along with internet news sites have exposed this bias thousands of times as they cover stories the main stream media chooses to ignore.

The inconvenient truth facing the main stream media today,  is that the information they were able to mete out to the American public,  is now available to millions unfiltered through Fox and alternative information sources. The main stream media lost its stranglehold.

Imagine the comfort of the Obama administration, if pugnacious Sean Hannity wasn’t around to inform us how dire the Libyan embassy situation really is, as well as expose the whole Obama Mideast policy disaster?

Or if Bill O’Reilly wasn’t pointing out that our leader has left Washington leaderless.  While he plays over a hundred rounds of golf we sank into 16 trillion in debt without a budget for 3 years?

If Megan Kelly wasn’t warning us about Obama’s justice department’s involvement in the Fast and Furious gun running scandal?

Or Pat Buchanan’s warning we are losing the battle of civilizations as the Obama administration kow tows to foreign powers, while cutting the legs out from beneath our friends and allies?

Or Kimberly Guilfoyle keeping her cool as left wing nut Leo Terrell, unleashed a tirade of invective as he got caught in her special brand of logic.

Thankfully Fox News is here getting stronger all of the time, countering the dishonesty dished out by the main stream media. Keeping it fair and balanced.

Paul Ryan articulates, while Joe Biden gaffes

After one week, Paul Ryan has been spectacular as Mitt Romney's running mate. Ryan, quick out of the starting gate, has engaged in the battle of ideas and has been quick to point out that President Obama's Affordable Healthcare Act, stole 716 billion from Medicare in order to hide the real expenses of his Obamacare.

Ryan's expertise on budgetary matters and his direct likeable personality, has set the Obama campaign back on its heels.  They were in the process of painting Romney/Ryan as heartless to seniors ready to roll Granny off the healthcare cliff, when they got a 100 MPH  Ryan fastball right across the plate.

What's devastating to the Obama campaign is that Paul Ryan knows every little detail in the chicanery used to foist Obamacare on the nation.  Exposing the theft of 716 billion from seniors Medicare, is just the first pitch in this ballgame.

Today Paul Ryan is in front of thousands of cheering seniors at the worlds largest retirement community in Florida.  He introduced his 78 year old mother to the crowd and explained how he wants the best for his mom and the rest of Americas seniors. He pledged that Romney/Ryan will preserve their Medicare and Social Security and will ensure healthcare and retirement security for future generations of Americans.

In stark contrast to Paul Ryan's energetic day, Vice President Joe Biden was at home in Delaware where he was sent by President Obama. Seems Obama political strategists think its best to keep Joe out of the spotlight after a speech designed to fire up racial dissension against Romney/Ryan backfired terribly on Joe and brought unexpected negativity back on Obama/Biden campaign.

Biden tried to taint Romney/Ryan as racially insensitive by inferring their plan to restore fiscal sanity to the nation would put African Americans back in chains. You could hear groans from the mostly black group in Virginia as Biden made the remark.  But to add insult to injury, Biden said the smear with a southern drawl.  Afterwards many American black leaders of all political persuasions expressed outrage at the attempt to try to link Romney/Ryan with chains and slavery.

Of course the usual Democrat spin doctors tried to play it off as just another one of "likeable Joe's" many gaffes, but it looked like he was reading from a prepared speech.  Isn't a gaffe an impromptu slip of speech?

It was clear, Bidens "gaffe" was in response to the huge surge in popularity and energy Paul Ryan brought to the Romney campaign.  Equally clear was how seriously the Obama campaign saw the threat of Ryan's addition to the ticket by their willingness to use the race card. Sadly for them, it boomeranged and exposed them to ridicule.

To further illuminate the desperation the Obama campaign feels after Biden "gaffe," rumors swirled Hillary Clinton had been offered the Vice President spot on the Obama ticket.  The same sources say Hillary turned it down because she is burned out from being Secretary of State and feels it might taint her chances at running for President in 2016....It's all about her.

President Obama, in an attempt to get attention off of Bidens gaffe and dismal economic news, tried to focus attention on Romney's tax returns and making that an issue to muddy the waters. But that ploy seems to be ringing hollow with Americans as they start to look around and notice the Obama/Biden ticket hasn't delivered on the many flowery promises they made back in 2007.

Paul Ryan's articulate explanation of his economic reforms, stand in sharp contrast to Joe Bidens race baiting, insensitive gaffes.

Americans can see a clear choice and will remember this in November.

President Obama has pushed the Constitution, now the Constitution pushes back

The Supreme Court will rule this week whether President Obama's health care bill is constitutional and whether his Justice Department under embattled Eric Holder can stop Arizona from enforcing immigration law.

The administrations prestige is riding on the outcome of these decisions.

Since the President has touted himself as a constitutional scholar, you would think a positive outcome for him is a foregone conclusion. But most legal experts have said Obamacare is an overreached Frankenstein monster of a law and flawed constitutionally as it forces citizens to purchase private insurance.

The state of Arizona crafted their own immigration laws after finding the Obama administration was not cooperating with enforcing  federal immigration laws in their state.  Arizona found itself deluged with illegal immigrants and tried to do something about it, they enacted their own laws that mirrored federal laws.  The Obama Justice Department immediately sued them for doing so and now the case is ready to be ruled on.

Just one of these rulings in a session is momentous and there will be grave political consequences for President Obama if he loses.

Obama will take the heat and rightfully so, for devoting his time to ramming an unpopular health care bill down Americas throat, while the economy was melting down.  He will also be criticized for trying to intimidate and bully a state for trying to protect itself from an illegal immigrant invasion by passing a law that basically mirrors federal law.

But the Obama administration has a third constitutional issue which is about to erupt unless it finds some way to stifle it.

For the past year and a half the Congressional inquiry into the erupting scandal known as "Fast and Furious," has been hitting a brick wall with Attorney General Holder.  Congress has been looking into the gun running, murders & arming of drug cartels on our border with Mexico.  The Obama administration has only given paltry cooperation with the committee and refused to hand over key evidence which could show who was responsible in the administration and what was at the root cause of the operation.

Due to the Attorney Generals intransigence  and non cooperation with the key watchdog of the people, Congress next week is to hold a full scale vote to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress.  President Obama, apparently in an attempt to protect the incriminating documents from being revealed, has exerted executive privilege to try to circumvent the Congressional investigators right to know.

This week will define if our country is a constitutional republic governed by laws, checks and balances....Or a sort of hybridized monarchy whose constitution can be skirted by a popular President who uses executive orders, regulation and selective enforcement of existing law to achieve his goals.

Attorney General Holder is fast becoming the reason Congress is furious

For the past year and a half, a Congressional oversight committee has been asking for cooperation from the Obama administration.  This cooperation includes document requests and testimony related to the smoldering gun running scandal known as Fast and Furious. For 1 1/2 years, the Justice Department, headed by Attorney General Eric Holder has not been fully complying with their requests and subpoenas. His underlings have provided conflicting testimony and some have been transferred in order to make it more difficult to question them.

What's at the crux of the Fast and Furious gun running scandal is that the federal government purposely let thousands of high powered, dangerous guns be sold illegally in Arizona under the guise of tracking them to their criminal destinations.  But hardly any of the guns were tracked and they eventually fell into the hands of criminals and gangs.  These guns were responsible for crimes on both sides of the border, the deaths of hundreds of Mexican citizens and the death of at least one of our own Federal border agents.

But some people have openly stated the real motive was to make Arizona look like a lawless, out of control, gun ridden area that needed to be clamped down on by the Federal government.

After all of this time, the Congressional committee headed by Congressman Darrell Issa, has been given only 7,000 documents out of the over 130,000 documents requested from Obamas Justice Department.  Furthermore many of the documents handed over to the committee were heavily redacted, or blacked out in order to shield key pieces of information.

The stalling and contempt for the committees requests for information has set up a dramatic showdown, as the oversight committee is set to make an historical vote on whether to charge the recalcitrant Attorney General with contempt of Congress.  Unless the Attorney General comes clean within the next several hours, look for yet another confrontation between this administration and the other branches of government.

If the committee votes to hold the Attorney General in contempt, it will be an historic watermark.  The Attorney General is the chief law enforcement officer of the United States.  If he is held in contempt by our Congressional committee it would be both embarrassing to the administration as well as a vote of no confidence for it's Attorney General.

All of this would be unnecessary if the administration cooperated in this investigation.

It is the duty of the Congress to oversee the operations of the government and delve into areas they think are corrupt or fraudulent.  They should be given full cooperation by any in the government that they request information from, regardless of who they are.
