Unfolding Libyan scandal could sink Obama and end Hillary’s political career

As more information comes out on the murder of our Libyan Ambassador and 3 other Americans during the assault in Benghazi…. the more incriminating it gets for the higher ups in Washington DC.

Our murdered ambassador, Chris Stevens, had repeatedly been requesting more security  in the months before the attack.  Those requests seemed to have been routinely ignored.  Shockingly, we are now finding out, a key special security force was withdrawn shortly before the attack.

The administrations original story, “the attack was a spontaneous angry reaction to a video,” has been thoroughly debunked.  This makes the situation more dire politically for the administration, with only days before the election.

Conflicting stories and finger pointing are erupting between the State Department, the Whitehouse and the intelligence community.

To compound the problem for the Obama administration, Secretary of Defense, Leon Panetta, claimed yesterday, there was no “real time intel” to base a decision on whether to send help to the besieged consulate.

But according to Fox News,  CIA sources say there was a wealth of "real-time information" coming in, including two military surveillance drones and those who were on the ground.  The communication from the CIA annex about a mile away from the consulate was "constant":

The latest bombshell now shows the attack was a 7 hour ordeal.  There was plenty of time to send help to the besieged Americans.  Repeated pleas for help from those on the scene were denied by those higher up.

At one point during the battle a CIA operative pinpointed the mortar team which was bombarding the complex. He radioed for fire support from a Specter gunship, commonly used by U.S. Special Ops to provide support to teams on the ground.  Even though an American airbase was only an hour away, no gunships arrived.

Further, Fox News learned, no Tier One Special operations forces, among them Delta Force operators, showed up to help, which were also within range and able to help if authorized.

But heroism stood front and center in spite of the indecision emanating from Washington.  Ex-SEAL Tyrone Woods, hearing the fire fight from his position at the CIA annex 1 mile from the consulate radioed for permission to go the aid of his fellow Americans.  Twice he was told to stand down.  After the 2nd denial of his request, he and 3 others disobeyed orders and made their way to the consulate.  When they arrived, they came under fire, but were able to evacuate those who remained back to the CIA annex.

Heroic Ex SEAL Tyrone Woods was later killed defending against another attack on the CIA annex by the heavily armed militants. Woods had heard the urgent call for help from his fellow Americans and couldn’t turn a deaf ear.  For that he paid the ultimate price.

If the same measure of heroism that Tyrone Woods displayed prevailed in Washington DC…..Perhaps the deaths of our Americans in Libya could have been avoided.

Every day more shocking details of the Libyan disaster unfold and it gets worse for the Obama administration.  The first and most shocking fact is that we left our Ambassador woefully under protected and a sitting duck in a very hostile environment.  The 2nd is that when they came under attack, the administration didn’t provide the help they needed to save their lives.

Vice President Biden, in another bizarre display of his personality disorder, tried to console the father of Chris Woods by telling him 'Did your son always have balls the size of cue balls?'  Charles Woods was highly offended by this remark and talked about this and other shabby treatment towards him by President Obama and Hillary Clinton, in a UK Mailonline article.

Some political pundits are saying this scandal is far worse than the Watergate scandal, which forced a President to resign.  In Watergate no one died. As this unfolds, the casualties to political careers could prove fatal to all of those involved, including Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.

Is Obama White House willing to jeopardize national security for political gain?

Recent revelations that leaks of the most highly sensitive military intelligence operations emanated from the White House, have triggered FBI investigations.  Additionally, last Friday Attorney General Eric Holder announced he appointed 2 Deputy Attorney Generals to investigate the source of these leaks.

Security experts have been quoted they have never seen the magnitude of such leaks in their experience.  These leaks could be responsible for the deaths of many who work in the clandestine world of intelligence and result in the crippling of America's ability to defend itself in the war on terror. But the leaks all have one thing in common:  They portray President Obama in a good light.

Did leaks result in deaths to SEAL Team 6?

Last year, as news was released from the White House regarding the successful operation in the killing of Osama Bin laden in Pakistan, you could hear a collective gasp from the intelligence community as major details of the operation were released to the public. Those details included identifying SEAL Team 6 as the military team performing the successful operation.

Military intelligence experts were horrified to hear even the mention of this highly trained team being involved in this operation and feared for reprisals against  team members and their families. Just 3 months later,  a helicopter loaded with SEAL Team 6 personnel, many the same ones involved in the Osama Bin Laden operation, was shot down in Afghanistan.  31 members of the team perished when that helicopter was hit with a Taliban missile.  Coincidence?

Major setback in effort to stop Irans nuclear ambition?

Iran has been feverishly working to perfect a working nuclear weapon.  Many fear if Iran gets nuclear capabilities it would work with terrorist organizations to spread them around the world and not hesitate to use them.

But Iran has been plagued with technical problems in their quest to build nuclear weapons.  Their computers were infected with a virus and their top nuclear scientists were dying from another virus spread by lead poisoning (bullets).  But thanks to White House leaks, the Iranians know their computer problems have been the result of clandestine US and Israeli operations, introducing a worm called Stuxnet .  The Iranians know the name of the virus and will now be able to examine security cameras and find the double agent who introduced that virus into their system.  Iranian reprisals to anyone that betrayed them will be brutal and deadly.

Drone use should be top secret

Leaks that President Obama was personally picking out terror suspects in the middle east for killing by our ultra secret drones, has also damaged our security.  Military experts have said even the mention of our drones is a breach of our military security, much less announcing that President Obama was personally making those life/death decisions.

Some secrets need to stay secret forever

Even more damaging to our war on terror, was the blurting out by White house sources that  allies had infiltrated an agent into Al Quaeda.  This security breach came when a terror suspect was arrested attempting to board an aircraft wearing the most sophisticated bomb yet seen.  The blood sweat and tears spent on the infiltration into Al Quaedas operations was wasted by one statement crowing that we had infiltrated them.

Will investigation be all sound and no fury?
Attorney General Holder works for the White House.  The two Assistant Attorney Generals,  Holder appointed to investigate these security leaks, work for Holder.  Many people don't expect much to happen with Holder in charge of the investigation, especially before November elections.  In the meantime, how many brave people working silently in the undercover war on terror will be sacrificed for political gain?

Left placed on suicide watch after smashing defeat in Wisconsin

Ed Schultz near tears
The Tuesday June 5, 2012 date, will go down as epic a defeat for the left,  as the of the Battle of Gettysburg was for the south.

Fox News had a man on the street interview with a Wisconsin Democrat activist who had just got news his efforts to recall Governor Walker had gone down to defeat.  Through his tears he whined that "this was the day democracy died in America."  Huh? This election is what democracy is all about, one side wins, the other side loses...Usually without bloodshed, that's the idea.

If you weren't paying attention and your only source of information was the New York Times, ABC, CBS and NBC....

You would think the outcome of the recall election of Governor Walker last Tuesday was a real squeaker and he just survived.  But that is not the case, no matter how they spin it.  Governor Walker and his Lieutenant Governor Kleefisch, hit the Democrats and their government union allies with a humiliating defeat.

Left leaning pundits and political spin doctors try to explain it away as: "We just didn't get our message across" and have also used the "we were outspent by out of state special interests"  and "folks were getting recall fatigue" as an excuse for their election day catastrophe.

In spite of some Democrat districts having 119% voter turnout,  (How do you get more votes than registered voters?), millions upon millions of dollars in attack ads and bussed in out of state "volunteers" waging war against the Governor,  he won with a large margin in a very Democrat state.

Wisconsin voters evidently didn't need to listen to the message, but just looked at the numbers and they liked what they saw. Governor Walker balanced their budget, which had a 3.5 billion deficit when he took office, but most importantly broke the stranglehold the government unions had on his state.

Many other states teetering on the brink of fiscal insolvency are taking note of how Wisconsin stood up to the Democrat/labor machine and crushed it.  On the same day as the Wisconsin recall election 2 California cities, San Jose and San Diego, facing fiscal calamity themselves, overwhelmingly voted for public union pension reform, in spite of heavy Democrat and public union campaigning against it. The handwriting is on the wall:  The once supreme control the Democrats/government unions had over many of the blue states will be a thing of the past.

But Wisconsin is just one battle out of many and the news gets worse for Democrats

There have been a series of setbacks for Obama and the left this past week besides the Wisconsin defeat.  Ugly job numbers, Romney took in record amounts of donations, insubordination in the Democrat ranks by high profile figures and a growing call by many for the Attorney General to resign.

These setbacks, failures and political betrayals are just on the domestic front.

Internationally, Europe is careening towards a fiscal meltdown in spite of President Obama lecturing them several months back that they must eat their fiscal peas. Syria is slaughtering its civilian population while the administration dithers and Iran races forward with their plan to go nuclear, thumbing their noses at us.

Possible huge scandal looming?

Disturbing stories in the New York Times, seem to confirm the source of leaks of some of our most highly classified information may be coming directly from the White House, who seem to be politicizing our national security.  These leaks have lead to the jailing of our intelligence asset in Pakistan who helped us kill Osama Bin Laden, exposed our top secret SEAL team 6 and outed a double agent infiltrated into Al Quaeda. They also let Iran know we and the Israelis had corrupted their nuclear computers with a worm that had befuddled them...until now.

Awkwardly for the President, all of the security leaks seem to be designed to shed him in a positive light.  President Obama in an impromptu news conference yesterday was confronted with a reporters question regarding these leaks.  In a bizarre answer, he said he was offended that anyone would think the White house would be the source of such leaks...But he never technically denied them either.

To top it all off, a new poll came out that showed Mitt Romney is gaining in popularity and it is likely Republicans will consolidate their hold on the House of Representatives.  The poll also showed Republicans have an excellent chance of gaining control of the Senate in the coming November elections.

Seems the best thing about last week for President Obama and the left, is that it is over.

Bill Clinton is poor choice for attack ad on Romney in Osama Bin Laden raid

The new political ad which has Bill Clinton extolling the steely eyed determination of President Obama in ordering the Navy Seals to take out Osama Bin Laden, relies heavily on collective amnesia by the American public.

As facts have shown, Bill Clinton's refusal to acknowledge there was a war against us by Al Quaeda, lead to the eventual attack on American soil by Jihadists  under the command of Osama Bin Laden on 911.

There was plenty of evidence that outright war had been declared during Bill Clintons Presidency:  The first truck bombing of the World Trade Center.  The bombing of our military barracks in Saudi Arabia, killing 19 and wounding hundreds.  The suicide bombing of our warship USS Cole.  Two US embassies in Africa destroyed by bombs that killed 260 and injured more than 5,000.

But as Byron York wrote in the National Review:  "Bill Clinton was too preoccupied with his own political fortunes to an extent that precluded his giving serious and sustained attention to fighting terrorism" and avoided the decision to kill Osama Bin Laden when he had the opportunity served up to him on a silver platter...more than once.

So it is ironic that Bill Clinton is used as the prop in an ad taking credit for the killing of Osama Bin Laden, when in reality if he had done his job as commander in chief and acted decisively,   Osama Bin Laden would be a minor footnote in American history.  Today  911 would just be a number you called on your phone in an emergency. See Losing Bin Laden

But this doesn't take away from the fact that it was  a great decision by President Obama to order the hit on Bin Laden and he should receive praise and recognition for it. But praise and recognition should also be equally given to the previous administration who set in motion the groundwork that collected the intelligence revealing where Bin laden was hiding.

It is also ludicrous to claim Mitt Romney would not have had the fortitude to make the decision President Obama did if he had been faced with the same circumstances.

Is there any doubt that Osama Bin Laden was public enemy number one and that Americas Special Forces are the most excellent and well equipped the world has ever seen?  How could a commander in chief NOT order a hit on Osama Bin laden if his whereabouts were pinpointed and he was presented with an executable plan?  No President could have passed this opportunity up.  Ann Coulter summed it up when she said: "Even a President Dennis Kucinich would have ordered the operation".

The killing of Osama Bin Laden was a national effort lead by all of Americas intelligence services and executed by our Special Forces.  The go ahead was given by President Obama.  Lets give credit where credit is due and not suffer from collective amnesia when confronted with a campaign ad.
