Polar Bears Thriving, Al Gore Melts Down

High Priest of global warming Al Gore, had an obscenity laced meltdown at the Aspen Institute the other day. The outburst only mirrors the desperation his movement is experiencing. More and more question the "science" behind his scientific/religious crusade.

I think we all remember the heart breaking ad that depicted the poor Polar Bear paddling in the open ocean. Paddling about aimlessly because (supposedly) there wasn't any ice left for him to roam on? The ice caps were melting due to AGW (Man caused Global Warming) and it was just a matter of time before there was no ice left....anywhere.

The clip ended and the pitiful bears demise was left to our vivid imaginations. Many pictured the poor bear would soon tire and drown, the last you would see of him would be his paw waving above the water one last time before he slipped to the icy depths. Or equally horrible, he would be torn apart by Orcas and Great White sharks.

A convenient bit of information was left out of the ad though....Polar bears can swim 60 miles across open ocean to travel from one ice pack to another, they are at home in the ocean. Of course many urban dwellers don't know that"inconvenient truth" about these hardy bears and jump to conclusions.

Well there happens to be a federal probe underway investigating the "science" used to scare the world about the melting ice caps. It has the "environmental community", or"industry" as some like to call it, very nervous. Here is a link to the story:

After the ad aired on national television, Desperate viewers pleaded for the federal government to do SOMETHING to help the poor bears before they all drowned....or worse. At least get the poor bears on the endangered species list.

The White House acted by ensuring the bears were placed on the "threatened" list, but not the endangered list, claiming there wasn't any scientific evidence to prove the bears were endangered. They were not going to be buffaloed into making a knee jerk decision on this.

The blockbuster revelations known as "Climategate" a couple of years ago, brought to light that the main scientific institute, University of East Anglia, used doctored data to bolster Al Gores man made global warming claims. Since that time, it has been one embarrassment after another, for the religion of AGW.

NASA, NOAA, and other agencies charged with the study of climate have had to backtrack on previous data that they had furnished. Temperature taking locations around the world once set in areas "out in the sticks" are now in the middle of urban build up, surrounded by concrete and asphalt which make temperatures rise in those locations. Main stream, recognized scientists from all over the world disagree with the "science" used to bolster the claim of man made global warming.

Record setting snowfalls, colder than normal temperatures, longer winter like conditions, all fly in the face of the AGW crowds claims.....Oh and BTW the Polar Bear population is just fine, ask the hikers in Norway.

But disturbingly, in spite of all of the contrary science and facts available, the Obama administration is peppered with warmist "believers" who are shaping our energy future using the bogus data provided by the AGW crowd, to shut down our proven energy resources. Sad.

In a Stunning Triumph Wisconsin Voters Repudiate the Left

After being held hostage and assailed by the lefts biggest heavy hitters for months, Wisconsin voters had the opportunity to strike back.....and strike back they did.

The left had campaigned, loudly and expensively for the opportunity to recall 6 Republican State Senators. Stump speeches by such imported leftist luminaries like Al Sharpton and Michael Moore with class warfare rhetoric, added to the din.

Democrats and organized labor calculated if they replaced these 6 senators with liberal legislators, they would be able to overturn all of the public employee collective bargaining reforms & budget reforms that ushered in the new year.

With an unprecedented amount of money poured into relatively small districts, some estimate as much as 40 million dollars and the overwhelming amount of personnel bussed in from all over the country, many thought it was a foregone conclusion that the left would win. Collective wisdom said no one could withstand this sort of massive firepower concentrated on them. Many predicted a landslide win by the left.

But Wisconsin voters are a unique lot, a bit stubborn and independent. They were not going to be bullied by outsiders using aggressive tactics, nor were they going to be bamboozled by slick expensive ads assaulting them 24/7 on every level of media. The lefts mind stretching argument that their privileges, had somehow turned into some sort of sacred rights, fell flat with Wisconsin voters, who themselves have had to pare back in this tough economy.

After the ballot gun smoke cleared, the Republicans still remained in power and the ongoing reforms remain in place. The left was not able to gain control by conventional legislative means through the ballot process. Democrats still face the specter of 2 of their Senators facing recall elections in the coming week...Stay tuned.

Ironically, the headlines today show that the Wisconsin economy, under their new Republican leadership has begun to roar back and is gaining more private sector jobs than any state. Irony of ironies: Wisconsin's AAA credit rating, lost under the previous Democrat stewardship, has been restored under the leadership of the new crew.

NOW Comes to Defense of Conservative Michelle Bachman

In yet another example of the high-tech lynching that occurs to strong, conservative woman, Newsweek tried to harpoon Michelle Bachman with an unflattering picture on its cover. But after years of hypocritical silence, NOW (National Organization for Women) finally stepped up to the plate and defended Congresswoman Bachman.

NOW took a firm stand against the front page picture used by Newsweek. It depicts GOP Presidential contender Bachman as a wild eyed crazy woman, something the DNC and its liberal henchmen in the press have been foisting on the American public ever since she reached national prominence. I'd like to see Newsweek post a picture on its cover of DNC chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schults in her natural state.

Monday, NOW spoke out against Newsweek’s most recent cover, which features an extreme close-up of Michele Bachman and the title “The Queen of Rage.”

Said NOW president Terry O’Neill. “Casting her in that expression and then adding ‘The Queen of Rage’ is sexist. Gloria Steinem has a very simple test: If this were done to a man or would it ever be done to a man – has it ever been done to a man? Surely this has never been done to a man.”....Well Terry, it has been done to men and it will probably happen again, but that is beside the point. Your organization needed to step up and defend ALL women, not just the liberal democrat ones.

Many had given up on NOW being an advocate and defender of all women, but rather believed it's main job was defender of liberalism and attacker on anything that was not on the liberal agenda....That some women were more equal and deserving of fair treatment than others.

Well that image has been somewhat changed when it issued a statement condemning Newsweek for the atrocious picture.

I suppose a Brava! is appropriate for the belated defense of Michelle Bachman. But many more kudos would come down if NOW did its job as a defender of all women regardless of political persuasion. That includes Sarah Palin and the vicious treatment she has received at the hands of the main stream press.

Perhaps NOW could assign full time bodyguards for Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachman as the political season heats up. That might help atone for the past dereliction of duty on NOW'S part.

The Presidents Pep Talk Sinks Market 240 Points

If anyone was expecting a concrete plan from the President, regarding the nations downgraded credit status and free fall of the stock market.....they were disappointed. Apparently Wall Street wasn't impressed and showed the President what they thought of his speech by dropping an additional 240+ points after he completed his address.

Fridays stunning downgrade of Americas credit rating, was a warning and a blow to how things are being done in Washington. The Presidents response to this financial crisis? A golf game and silence for three full days, before today's speech.

What probably disappointed many about todays speech, was the The President pointing a finger of blame at "others". Again, seemingly positioning himself as an innocent bystander in the financial mess. He did not acknowledge his responsibility and didn't mention that his policies have not delivered the promises he made to the American citizens.

I suppose it is human nature to not want to accept blame or responsibility. Even a base political instinct to want to point the finger at others. But we want to expect more from our President, we want him to be bigger and better than we are and rise above the pettiness of normal human beings.

I know the President and his advisers have said "never let a serious crisis go to waste". Well how much more do you want as far as a crisis goes? This would have been a key time to come out with a bold plan for our country and inspire us. A perfect time to cut the Congressional vacation short and call them back into session, with a serious outline to restore us to economic greatness.

But no plan emanated from the President. His minions have started the blame game and pointing the finger at "others", especially calling this "the Tea Party downgrade". They are even blaming Standard and Poors for making a 2 trillion mistake. But the bottom line is that Washington is a crack addict with our money and you don't need a credit agency to tell you that.

The President chose to ignore this opportunity/crisis and lead from behind again. The country and the president will regret this decision.

One day after the stock market took its biggest plunge since the 2008 financial crisis, President Obama on Tuesday canceled a previously scheduled speech at a local moving company, and the White House also pulled the plug on the daily press briefing. ...Hope that will help the markets!

The Satan Sandwich Debt Deal is Giving America Indigestion

Our elected officials including President Obama, high tailed it out of Washington soon after crafting the Frankenstein Monster debt deal called the "satan sandwich". Many of them needed R & R time to heal from the black and blue marks caused from patting themselves on the back.

Harry Reid, the Senate majority leader, rambled on about how he has worked so hard and been away so long from home, he hadn't seen his roses bloom or his persimmon trees in blossom.

But the bloom was already off the rose, while Reid gave his sanctimonious speech on the Senate floor. Because it was just a matter of days before the world and the American public became familiar with what the politicians had signed on to, in order to give themselves political cover.

The devilish details in the agreement nicknamed the "satan sandwich" by a liberal congressman, fell way short of what was needed to be done in order to preserve Americas AAA rating. It window dressed, when what was really required were deep cuts to special interests that have entrenched themselves in our society. These special interest have evolved into an almost constitutional entitlement mentality, something never envisioned under the framework of our country.

For example, an entitlement being spawned right now in Pennsylvania, is the "right" for those to have government provided and paid for cell phones. How much does this cost and where does it say in the constitution that government has to provide cell phones? I can see this one has national merit for the nanny staters.

But truth withstands the test of time and someone said socialism works until you run out of other peoples money. America long ran out of its own money in order to prop up the entitlement state and is about to run out of borrowed money courtesy of the rest of the world.

If it was not for the Tea Party presence in Congress and the Senate, there would have been no bulwark against the runaway spending/entitlements that run the show in Washington. As it is, the "cuts" watered down by the establishment, were not really immediate and would happen during some future congresses term. But it gave Obama 2.5 trillion of extra borrowed money to spend during the remainder of his term.

The "satan sandwich" was a disgusting display that showed a lack of respect for the American people...But it didn't fool the real number crunchers working for the credit rating agencies. They took the opportunity to show their lack of respect for our politicians in Washington DC., in a most stark way: By cutting our credit rating.

Irish Civil War? O'Reilly has Turned on O'Bama

In a blistering attack on the massive failure that the Obama administration has inflicted on our economy, Bill O'Reilly has taken the gloves off. He is pounding away on Obama in his own inimitable Irish pugilistic style.

O'Reilly has been trying for some time, to be"America's Newsman" by positioning himself in the middle. He has strived to be the fair and balanced commentator, a kind of elder statesman of the news industry.

In this role, O'Reilly has always given Obama the benefit of the doubt and cut him, in many observers opinion, far too much slack, as Obama pushed our right of center country, farther and farther left.

This internecine war started festering as Bill increasingly questioned the wisdom of many of the Obama administrations policies. Policies which are leaving the economy reeling and drowning us in massive debt.

O'Reilly has questioned Obamas far left appointments to head massive government departments. The EPA and the Justice Department under the direction of Obama appointees are attacking the states and private sector with new rules/ regulations and justice department probes/ lawsuits. His appointments to the NLRB have gone on the attack against American business at a time when policies should be geared to nurture business.

But with the new tranche of massive debt heaped on America, things have gotten out of hand in an alarming way and it seems Bill cannot bite his tongue any longer. He is using his pulpit to signal Obama and the American public that the shillelagh is out of the closet and he is going to use it to beat away at policies that he feels are harming our country.

While the economy is in tatters, the FAA is not funded and many are out of work. President Obama is attending his own star studded birthday party. For 45,000 you are welcome to attend the party and have your very own picture taken with the president.

President Obama went to Ireland recently, he said it was to find his Irish roots. Some said it was in search of his apostrophe, others said it was only posturing and a way to pander to the Irish voters in America. Either way, O'Bama should listen to his Cousin O'Reilly and take stock of where he is leading us.

Gabby Giffords returns but Biden gaffe ruins the civility

Reflecting an ugly partisan side, totally beneath the dignity of the office of Vice President, Joe Biden called fellow Americans terrorists. To compound the offensive name calling, it happened today, the day Congresswoman Gabby Giffords made her triumphant and miraculous return to Washington DC. Can it get any worse for the Vice President?

The Tucson shooting of Gabby Giffords and the killings of others, brought the nation together in a state of shock and mourning just a few short months ago. President Obama made a stirring speech from the University of Tucson and implored us to usher in a new era of civility, respect and understanding towards our fellow Americans.

What brought Vice President Bidens Tourette-like outburst? A group of lawmakers who were practicing their constitutional rights by trying to shape laws to reflect their beliefs and the beliefs of many millions of Americans who sent them to congress.

Simply put, these lawmakers are working hard to put the nation on a sound fiscal footing by controlling government spending to match what comes in, in other words balancing the books. For this, Vice President Biden called these courageous lawmakers and patriots, terrorists.

To myself and most sane Americans, terrorists fly fully loaded airplanes into occupied buildings, killing thousands. Terrorists strap bombs to children and release them to wander in crowded malls where they are remotely detonated, killing and maiming many. Terrorists saw the heads off of live captive Americans while they are on television pleading for their lives.

Americans practicing their civil liberties and working within the confines of the legislative process are not terrorists, Mr. Biden! They are your fellow Americans who deserve your respect and they deserve a full apology from you sir.

President Obama should explain to Vice president Biden what the meaning of civility is. Maybe the Vice president missed the Presidents stirring speech from Tucson.
